The Flakiest Gluten-free Concord Grape Galette + Some Big (Huge) News

How I managed to keep this a secret for so long is beyond me!  I have been bursting at the seems to tell you this news for what seemed like an eternity and I didn’t even cave once. (Note to self, Kris: Treatyoself!) It’s perfect timing, really because today is allllll about the treats!

Many months ago, I started up a project to bring together some of my favourite Canadian photographers and food bloggers to launch our own collaborative blog. After months of google hang-outs, phone calls, and emails talking about concepts, people, editorial calendars, style, promotions, and ultimately, just bringing beautiful baking to your screen every week, we finally did it! Today is the day that I, along with my super-talented, ultra-dedicated, totally amazing partners in crime—Laura from The First Mess, Kelly from The Gouda Life, Gabriel from The Artful Desperado, and Ashley from Butterfly Food—bring you BAKED – The Blog. BAKED will make you fall in love with folding in egg whites, whipping cream, blending pastry, and fermenting starters. It will focus on rustic, accessible baking—nothing frilly, just everyday treats you can make at home. We hope you’ll join us. Again, and again, and again. If you like what you see, give us a follow on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. We promise to bring you sweetness in return.

If you’re looking for quick access to this galette, the recipe for ultra-flaky (gluten-free and vegan-optional(!)) pastry filled with sweet, sticky concord grapes awaits you here.  As always, thanks for stopping by, friends.
